From struggling student to passionate educator — discover my journey and teaching philosophy.
Me with my daughter
I'm a dedicated tutor who's passionate about helping students overcome the challenges I once faced myself. My journey as an educator started from a place of struggle — and that's exactly what makes me effective at what I do.
Over the years, I've helped hundreds of students from high school to university levels master subjects they once thought were impossible. Because I've been in their shoes, I know exactly what it takes to turn confusion into confidence.
Over 15 years helping students from middle school through university level master challenging STEM subjects.
Worked with hundreds of students in calculus, chemistry, physics, test prep, and more with consistently strong results.
95% of students see grade improvements within their first month. Average SAT math score increase of 150+ points.
Deep expertise in advanced mathematics (through calculus), organic chemistry, physics, and standardized test preparation.
Growing up, school didn't come easily to me. I spent years struggling in public school classrooms, falling behind and "checking out" to avoid the frustration. I felt lost, and defeated.
Everything changed when I found someone who could communicate with me and wanted to talk about the subject matter. For the first time, someone took the time to explain concepts in a way that made sense to me. They didn't just show me how to solve problems — they showed me how to think about problems. They were patient, encouraging, and believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself.
That's why I became a tutor. I know what it's like to feel stuck, to stare at a problem and have no idea where to start. I understand the anxiety before an exam and the relief when concepts finally click into place. Because I've been there, I can connect with my students on a deeper level and create the same supportive environment that once changed my life.
I teach the "why" behind concepts so you truly understand, not just memorize formulas.
I create a judgment-free space where it's safe to ask questions and make mistakes. Every student learns differently. I adapt my teaching style to match your unique needs.
My goal isn't just better grades — it's helping you believe in your own abilities.
